When I had braces, I had to have them three separate times because my orthodontist was a moron. The last time was during my senior prom and my younger sister already had hers taken off.

Ew. Braces are a privilege, a pain, the improvement of one's appearance and the total destruction of one's appearance. Brace yourself. It's about to get ugly.
